POKOTABI / Chiran
芝蘭
Choose salt-grilled or sauce-marinated yakiniku, then add Korean side dishes or pajeon. Chiran serves dinner favourites including bone-in Seoul kalbi and samgyeopsal.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
One pleasure of dining on yakiniku at Chiran is being able to choose between salt and sauce. One customer described an enjoyable dinner of premium tongue, premium skirt steak, bone-in Seoul kalbi and ten-niku. The premium skirt steak was particularly memorable to them; the menu also lists Japanese wagyu skirt steak as a separate item. Seoul kalbi is marinated in a soy-based sauce, while samgyeopsal is served with lettuce, shredded spring onion and garlic for wrapping. For a meat-focused meal, choose your preferred cuts grilled with salt or sauce, and add a wrap-style dish for a different way to enjoy the meal.
For something beyond grilled meat, take a look at the Korean side dishes, including pajeon. The menu describes this spring onion pancake as made with glutinous rice flour and cooked until crisp outside and chewy within—a texture also singled out by a customer. The mixed version includes prawns, squid and scallops, making it an easy dish to share between bites of meat.
Alongside yakiniku courses, Chiran offers a Korean royal-cuisine course, bookable for parties of 4 or more. Options range from a dinner that begins with Korean side dishes to a set course featuring royal cuisine.
